A kete and two pigs in the foreground, two dogs to the right, utensils, clothing, oars and weapons draped over a palisade.

Addition Description:A scene observed by Angas during a four-month visit to New Zealand in 1844. The name Maurea is no longer current, but the area is likely to be between Taupiri and Mercer, where Angas travelled along the Waikato.
